Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve heard about Ukrainian women. All over the world, beautiful Ukrainian women are a hot topic of discussion. It doesn’t matter where you are, it would seem that everyone agrees that Ukraine has the best looking girls on Earth. But, after a while, you can’t help but wonder why this actually is? As it turns out, there are some legitimate reasons as to why Ukrainian girls are oogled over. In fact, there’s a fair amount of evidence as to why Ukrainian women are so incredibly nice to look at.
The Culture of Beautiful Ukrainian Women
The first thing you have to realize about Ukrainian culture is that traditional gender roles are still rather common. Men are expected to work harder, pick up the tab on dates, and be straightforward. Women, on the other hand, are expected to follow the lead of their man and maintain their beauty.
Ukrainian culture generally dictates that a huge portion of a woman’s value is determined by her beauty. Like it or hate it, this is how it is.
In Ukraine, it generally benefits a woman to latch onto a man who is capable of providing. As such, she’s generally taught from a young age to make herself as attractive as possible (within reason). This is in anticipation of the event that Mr. Right rolls around one day (aka, you).
Think about it: a high value man has plenty of choices for the women he will date. Ukrainian women are well aware of this. Most of them know that if they stand any chance of having a good life further down the road, it benefits them to express their beauty to its fullest extent and find the best man possible.
If you’re from the West, I invite you to think about the 1950’s in the United States. Women generally had a similar mindset that Ukrainians do today. Feminism, in all of its terror, never really took place in Ukraine. As such, you’re left with a country that has not forgotten the age old wisdom of yesterday.
Women Are A Product of Their Enviornment
Above all else, Ukrainian women are extremely feminine.
In many ways, Ukrainian women are a 360 deal! It’s not just their appearance that is captivating, but their mannerisms, the way they carry themselves, and their behavior.
For example, a Ukrainian girl with Ukrainian genetics who is born in the United States is going to dress, act, and present herself in a completely different fashion than someone who has grown up in Ukraine.
American women are notorious for generally lacking self care. One of the most prevalent byproducts of feminism has been a “you go girl” attitude. This toxic mindset tells women that they should not do anything for the expressed pleasure of a man. This includes making themselves beautiful, something that has been common for women since the dawn of time.
As a result, you have women whose standard choice in clothing includes sweatpants. Her hair is done up in a sloppy bun. Best of all, he wears sandals 50% of the time, even in fall.
It’s quite a shame! In Ukraine, however, things could not be more different.
Socially Enforced Beauty Standards
In Ukraine, women will often times peer pressure other women into maintaining a flattering appearance.
It could be something as simple as an underhanded comment from her mother before she goes out, or her friends asking her “Are you seriously going to wear that on your date?” In either case, you can be sure that beauty standards are, for the most part, socially enforced in countries like Ukraine.
For example, a beautiful girl to a Western man versus a man living in a place like Morocco are going to be two different things entirely. For example, in the Middle East, a woman is considered to be boisterous if her hair is not covered by a hijab. In the West, such things are considered to be ridiculous.
Even between the United Kingdom and the United States, beauty standards are wildly different. Anybody who has spent time in the U.K. is well aware of the fact women wear HUGE amounts of makeup. It’s almost disturbing and clown like. On the converse, American women are actually rather subdued in their cosmetic choices.
But, we’d be lying if we said that Ukrainian genetics have nothing to do with why the country is a treasure chest of beautiful girls.
Beauty Around The World & Beautiful Ukrainian Women
There are a few traits that men universally find to be desirable across all cultures. Unsurprisingly, the majority of the Ukrainian women I’ve met are masters of exemplifying these traits in themselves.
Generally speaking, men across all cultures idealize women with facial symmetry, clear skin, and an “hourglass” figure. In other words, men seem to like women who have a hip-to-waist ratio of about .60 to .85.
It goes without saying that women in Ukraine tend to possess these characteristics. Even if they don’t naturally have clear skin, they will go to great lengths to clear themselves of blemishes. If a woman finds her facial symmetry to be slightly off, don’t be surprised if she possess skills that rival professional makeup artists to hide any imperfections. If she finds herself lacking in terms of her hip-to-waist ratio, she’ll often either begin working out or dress in a way that’s flattering to her figure.
That’s not to say that most Ukrainian girls are doing all of this soley for the attention of men, either. Due to a population imbalance in the nation, women do realize that they’re often competing for men. As such, they have to look their best at all times to maximize their chances of finding someone nice.
At the same time, women in Ukraine often compete with each other in a way that is nothing short of fierce. While you can be sure that Ukrainian women are most certainly dressing up to catch the eyes of men they fancy, there’s also a social stigma attached to looking less than her best.
Western Culture Idealizes Slavic Women
That being said, Western standards of “beauty” are, unsurprisingly, those that seem to idealize women of slavic descent.
If you want proof of this, look at the wife of the president of the United States, Melania Trump. In many ways, Donald Trump embodies everything about the American dream. Love him or hate him, he built a massive fortune, has been a TV star, and is now the president of the United States.
And, who did he choose as his wife? Melania Knauss, a woman from the Eastern European nation of Slovenia. Should it come as any surprise? This is the type of woman that one of the most successful businessmen in American history has chosen.
Slovenian women look somewhat similar to Ukrainian girls, as they both embody somewhat of a Western preference for Slavic women.
Slavic women typically have light skin, are of medium sized height, high cheekbones, light eyes, and an ideal hip to waist ratio. While some man prefer Asian girls, hispanic women, or even black girls, it’s hard to deny that there’s something of a preference for women with slavic features in the United States.
If you’re a Western man, you’ve grown up in a culture that has portrayed slavic women as an ideal. When attempting to figure out why Ukrainian women are so beautiful, it’s important to keep in mind how your own, personal preferences are going to impact your thoughts on this topic.

Western women often lack empathy for the struggles a man must undergo each day to simply stay alive. While women have their own share of issues, it is men who are tasked with the burden of performance. Women are born with value, and men must create it in the world.
Women in Ukraine still understand this age old wisdom that is being lost with each passing decade.

That’s not to say that your lady should be waiting on you hand and foot. But, it does mean that there’s nothing wrong with expecting women to do basic things like cook, clean, and be pleasant. This allows a man to continually work to become the best version of himself.
The beauty of arrangements like this is that as a man rises to new heights in his life, he has the ability to improve the lives of his woman and their eventual family as well.
Ukrainian girls are acutely aware of these situations. While many do enjoy partaking in employment to some degree, family always comes first.

One of the most common questions we receive at Expat Ukraine is whether or not Kiev is home to a red light district. Red light districts have become infamous all over the world, largely due to Amsterdam’s lax stance on prostitution. Naturally, many people think that just because you can find a beautiful woman in Ukraine, there must be a red light district nearby as well. Well, while there is an area that is often referred to as the city’s “red light district,” the answer to this question is more complicated than it may initially seem. Today, we’re discussing whether or not there is a red light district in Kiev!
What Is A Red Light District?
Generally speaking, a Red Light District is an area of a town in which there is a huge number of sex oriented businesses. This includes strip clubs, peep shows, sex shops for buying toys, and of course, prostitutes.
The origin of the name “red light district” comes from the fact that in the American Old West, red lights were used to signify the existence of a brothel. Obviously, this was before prostitution was banned throughout most of the world.
Today, some people will mistakenly refer to a nightlife district with a few strip clubs as a “red light district” as well. In fact, this is generally what’s happened in Kiev.
Is There A Red Light District in Kiev?
It’s complicated. The best answer I can give is…
Sort of, but not really.
There is one area known as Arena City, home of the Arena Entertainment Complex, that’s home to a swath of nightclubs, high end restaurants, and more than a few bars. The Arena Entertainment Complex is a four story building with about 50 or so attractions inside of it.
In Russia and Ukraine, complexes like this are rather common, whereas in the United States, nightlife is typically concentrated throughout a city block. This is yet another leftover, utilitarian Communist characteristic. After all, it’s more efficient to have all of the city’s entertainment in one area.
Though this is often seen as the “nightlife area” of the town, it is, for the most part a complete and total tourist trap, and hardly the best nightlife that Kiev has to offer.
In fact, we think that Kiev actually gets something of a bad name because most people end their search for nightlife at Arena City. The fact of the matter is that there’s a whole host of hidden gems in Kiev where you can have loads of fun at night, no matter what type of person you are.
Why Is Arena City Often Referred To As The Red Light District?
If you can’t tell by now, Arena City doesn’t so much as hold a candle up to a true red light district like those that exist in Amsterdam.
Venues tend to open and close relatively quickly in Arena City, but you can count on the fact that there’s always more than a few strip clubs operating in the complex as well.
And, if you must know, many of the boutiques that exist inside of Arena City are known to be frequented by “working girls,” otherwise known as prostitutes.
In other words, there’s a good chance that, if you look like a foreigner with foreign money, you may be propositioned by a prostitute while inside of the Arena Entertainment Complex. Remember, the girls you meet in a place like this are not exactly the nice, “girl next door with a freaky side” types that many men wish to find in Ukraine.
They’re professionals. You exist only as a wallet to them, one that they are trained to extract as much from as possible.
Despite the fact that we find Arena City to be lackluster in terms of both nightlife options and women, it’s relatively easy to get to if you insist on going.
Is Prostitution Even Legal in Ukraine?
Definitely not. Since 1987, prostitution has been banned in the territory of Ukraine. While the police largely ignore prostitution, it is definitely not front and center in Ukraine as it is in many other countries.
Ironically, over 500,000 Ukrainian women were estimated to have left the country to work as prostitutes during the 1990’s. This was during the fall of the Soviet Union, when unemployment was rampant. Of course, these events have created a stereotype that Ukraine is a whorehouse, when that really isn’t the case.
I always tell people that Ukraine is a great place to find a girlfriend/wife type of lady (or two, if that’s your style). But, you’re certainly not going to get a Las Vegas type of experience there.
The problem is prostitution in Ukraine is that when seeking out illegal services in a developing country, things can get a little bit dangerous.
For example, prostitution in Amsterdam is a legal, well regulated service that’s astonishingly safe. You simply pop down to the real red light district, walk up to the window of a “provider,” agree to a price, and she’s yours for however long you choose.
Even still, you have to keep in mind that Holland is thousands of miles away from Ukraine, and is practically in a different part of the world.
In Kiev, well, let’s just say things are a little bit different.
Prostitution in Ukraine Is A Bit Shady
I don’t know about you, but the last thing I want to do is to be fooling around a business that’s run by organized crime while in a developing country like Ukraine.
We love this place because it’s somewhat deregulated and honestly a bit more lawless than the West. As such, you have to be a little bit more careful when walking on the dark side. While Ukraine is, by and large, much safer than the United States, you also need to be smart and avoid putting yourself in harm’s way whenever possible.
And, trying to find prostitutes is a surefire way of making your trip a bit more risky.
Think about it. If something goes wrong, you’re on your own. The police aren’t going to save you, or probably even have an ounce if you end up getting robbed, beaten up, or extorted while in the bedroom of a whorehouse.
On top of that, you have to consider that human trafficking is an issue in many developing countries. Do you really want to be having “intercourse” with a girl who’s being forced to work for some sleazy pimp?
Even if you manage to go to Kiev, find a prostitute, and have some fun with her, do you really want to walk away knowing that you may have contributed to some seriously shady practices?
Well, I don’t. Especially when the streets of Kiev are crawling with beautiful, feminine women who are naturally interested in dating foreigners.
I hate to dissapoint you, but if you’ve been to Amsterdam or even seen the movie Eurotrip, Arena City is going to be a sore dissapointment to you.
The reality is that Kiev, for the most part, just isn’t the type of place you should go if you’re trying to pay for fast, easy sex.
It is, however, possibly the best place in the world to meet beautiful women.

We get this question a lot, and I seriously do not understand it.
Why on earth would you waste your time
Strippers do not like you. They’re not going to sleep with you. You’re not going to convince them to take your phone number and meet you after their shift, and nothing out of the ordinary happens during private dances.

Based on his appearance, it is clear that he has poor impulse control because nobody would actually choose to look like him.
Ease is something that he craves in life. As a result, he’s gone along with what his parents, teachers, school administrators have told him to do with his life. This means going to college, getting a “real job,” and proceeding to work at a place he is supremely uninspired by.
He hates it.
Somewhere in his heart, he knew all along that he isn’t enjoying this, but accepted defeat a long time ago. He’s convinced himself that he has to work 40 hours a week to earn $50,000 a year before the government takes their cut.
After taxes, he actually makes $35,000. Adjusted for inflation, his father made far more than he does working in a steel mill in the 1970’s.
So much for “progress.”
Realistically, he’s barely hanging on. He and his buddies at the office frequently joke about the amount of time they spend “working.” Hard work, as it turns out, is basically a foreign concept to them.
They spend most of the day dicking around on the internet. He’s frequently late for everything. His mind, like his body, is disorganized and sloppy. He can hardly pay attention to anything he doesn’t like doing for more than 15 minutes.
It’s for this reason that he, a 27 year old man, still lives at home with his Mom and Dad.
After college, he decided he would “move back in” with his parents to “save a little money” since his student loans are now costing him $500 a month. What was supposed to be a few months has turned into well over a year, and now he sees no reason to ever leave. His Mom is happy to have him, and yet his father frequently complains about his constant presence at home.
“Don’t you want to bring girls to your own place? I couldn’t wait to move out of my Dad’s house when I was your age,” his Dad often says over dinner.
Speaking of girls, let’s just say his love life isn’t so great.
The Pitiful Love Lives of Modern Men in America
This “man” had sex a few times in college, but only with a few particularly slutty girls. Much in contrast to what he was told college would be like, it wasn’t exactly as frequent as he’d hoped.
Now that he’s left university, he’s hardly ever getting laid. Even though he and his four friends frequently spend their weekends in the local bars, he’s largely become celibate. To solve this, he watches internet pornography, something he has done since the age of 13.
He is ashamed of the types of videos he watches online. He’s had a few close calls when he let someone else use his laptop. He actually has nightmares about it sometimes.
In short, the modern “man” lives a broke, sexless existence with no genuine prospects for his future. He’s stuck in a dead-end job that barely pays him enough to pay back his student loans. He is the epitome of “going nowhere fast” and is making remarkably little progress in his life when compared to his ancestors.
In short, he’s a total schlub and nobody wants to be him.
Somewhere, deep inside of himself, he knows that something is very, very wrong with his life.
He has a deep, gnawing feeling in his stomach before he goes to sleep each night. Sometimes, he even cries, but he does not know why.
It’s for this reason that he has been on and off anti-depressants, ADD medication, and various other psychiatric drugs since the age of 13. Coincidentally, this is the first year he began his internet porn habit.
Deep down inside, he is ashamed of himself. He hates his frail body, his weak mind, his empty wallet, and his miserable existence.
He stalks the Instagram accounts of popular guys in his community, celebrities, and various other “success porn” accounts like clockwork.
This is partly out of jealously, and part admiration.
“Why can’t I have that…” he thinks to himself.
Little does he know, he could have it all, if he did but one thing…
Accepting Responsibility…What’s That?
I wish I could say the above example is a rare exception, but instead, he’s actually become the norm.
The process of this man “unfucking” his life looks intense.
Every traditionally male institution that was supposed to help guide him through life has been eradicated.
His father is emotionally unavailable and was just as much of a loser as he was, but in a time when it was easier for an average man to have a good life in the West.
His mother has dispensed nothing but pure and utter garbage advice to him. She’s told him to “just be himself” and to “be a nice guy” hundreds of times, to the point where he’s actually began to doubt her.
Realistically, it will take hundreds of hours of work to even begin enacting meaningful change to where this young man sees his life begin to improve even marginally.
You could say he has a million different problems, and you’d be absolutely right.
He’s not ambitious, he doesn’t work out, he’s lazy and disorganized, he has “ADD,” he needs to learn how to talk to women, he must quit porn, etc…
In reality, all of these things are true, and yet none of them are true.
Focusing on just one of them is missing the point.
In fact, is one trait that exemplifies the modern man more than any other.

He is an expert at not accepting responsibility for his life.
A Stolen Future
I’m not going to lie, I once spent my life as a highly irresponsible individual, kind of like the one above.
While I was never quite as bad as him (I never had problems meeting girls), I lived much of my adult life as a man-child who was just scraping by.
I would entertain my childlike mind with delusions that someday I was gonna “hit it big” and that if I just kept “working” on my silly goals, I would get there.
The reality is I didn’t know the meaning of hard work. And neither do you.
I thought of myself as being better than the average lazy loser, but in reality, I was worse.
I was prideful and delusional. My sin, of course, was arrogance.
In the end, we were all in the same boat: a bunch of lost souls, trying to find our way in a world that’s locked us out and thrown away the key.
The problem of modern men not wanting to grow up and accept responsibility for life is not necessarily an indictment of everyone’s character. Instead, it’s a sign of the times.
Realistically, we have to keep in mind that there are greater issues at work here.
The Rewards Are Great
Historically, a man was always taught to “grow up” and accepts responsibility because he believed that he will be rewarded for doing so.
Historically, young men would undergo a “right of passage” in which they would be forced to overcome a difficult obstacle in order to enter adulthood.
If he emerged successfully, he was permitted to live life on his own terms, take on a wife (or two), and begin to make his mark on the world.
In the United States, however, those rewards have all but vanished.
America was once the greatest country on earth, and called the “land of opportunity.” That deal we were all promised growing up, however, has become a lot less sweet in the past 30 years.
In reality, nobody with a brain would want to date an overweight, sassy American woman. Working 40 hours a week at a job you hate, for a wage that hardly pays you enough to get by doesn’t exactly sound so great, either.
It is still entirely possible to work hard, save money, and do extremely well in the United States, but it is becoming harder and harder for the average, everyday man to follow this path.
Furthermore, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
Accepting Responsibility Means Acknowledging the Truth About the United States
Sure, if you’re willing to work 55 hours a week at a financial firm, spend all of your disposable income living in a major metropolitan area, let your student loans grow out of control, watch your health decline, spiritually die, and finally kick the bucket at 55, be my guest.
Seriously. Go ahead and do it.
Close this webpage, walk away from your computer, and go back to your meaningless life.
In reality, most men don’t really want to do this. I could sit here all day and talk about how important it is to work hard no matter the circumstances. and while some of you would “get it,” it would be lost on the majority of men.
Why get married, when most marriages are statically proven to end in divorce, where 40% of men end up paying alimony to their ex-wives, even after she marries the next schlub?
Why get a job, when wages have stagnated for over 40 years? It’s not like you will be able to buy a house if you’re working most jobs. You’ll never get a pension, social security, and realistically have less job security than ever before? Your cost of living will eat up your income faster than you can say “paycheck!”
Why move out of your Mom’s house? It will just eat up more of your already low wage. It’s not like most guys are having sex anyways. After all, what girl wants to date a the average American soyboy?
Plus, it’s not like most of the girls the average man has access to are that hot anyways. And, don’t even get him started on all the “players” who treat girls like total jerks, but for some reason, they women flock to men like this.
At the end of the day: men need a reason to work hard.
They need to feel as if what they are doing matters.
What a man truly craves is meaning.
Meaning has been systematically eradicated from our lives.
Video games, internet pornography, and cheap thrills are all a replacement for that which we really crave.

If there’s one lesson I’ve learned in life, it is the following: you are a product of your environment.
Almost everything there is set up to make you an obedient, tax-paying slave who is forced to sit by while everything is taken from him.
I’ve got news for you: lots of places are not like this.
Not by a long shot. Unlike in the West, most men in Eastern Europe would riot if they were faced with the conditions of the average American man.
The United States was once the land of opportunity. Unfortunately it, and most other Westernized countries, has become an environment in which the modern man is completely disempowered, and neutered of his true potential.
This leads us to the logical question of what to do next? For this, I’ll reference an age old proverb.
A wise man once said that “A journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step,” and I’m here to advise you on what that first step can be.

You Can Change, Start Accepting Responsibility For Your Life!
When a young man goes abroad to a place like Eastern Europe, a variety of things will often begin to happen to him.
He is absolutely floored by the number of beautiful girls he sees on a daily basis. It’s like living inside of a fashion magazine. Even the “hottest girls” in his home country hardly ever dress up so nicely and take such good care of themselves.
Here? It’s like he’s entered Shangri-La.
He’s immediately inspired to hit the gym, every single day, and work on his body. After some reading online, he finds a solid program that works for him and goes all in on it. He needs to look his best to try to land some of these hotties.
His diet improves. Unlike in the West, where all food is GMO, processed garbage, food in Eastern Europe is natural and can turn a boy into an ox.
Within a few months, he starts to get results.
What started off as freelancing odd jobs on the internet have turned into some real money. Even though he’s spent most of his adult life slacking off at work, he now knows that if he wants to make any money, he has to get serious about work.
To his surprise, he can pick up new skills relatively quickly. He realizes he can become a coder, a copywriter, and any job that can be done online. He just has to work at it.
And he does.

For the first time in his life, he is making enough money to actually begin saving some of it. After a few months he starts to think to himself: “Wow, if I save for a few more years…I could actually purchase an apartment!” In the meantime, he’s renting a nice place in the center of the city, the first apartment he’s ever lived in by himself.
In fact, it’s nicer than the home he grew up in. Imagine that.
Because he’s mostly working freelance online, he has a good bit of free time on his hands, and is free to brainstorm new ideas. He hasn’t the slightest clue about business, but he realizes that if he applies himself, it’s entirely possible for him to start profitable ventures online.
He knows that if he wants to keep his money coming in, he has to work hard. There’s no safety net here. He develops a newfound appreciation for work.
These changes set off a chain reaction of improvements in his life. Within the next year, his increased income and new motivation to meet girls leads him to discover how to approach women he does not know and dress better.
His bullshit friends are gone, and instead, he spends much of his free time Googling “male self improvement.” Just like in the video games he used to play, he’s “leveling up,” but in real life.
His parents come to visit him, one year later, and they can’t believe the person they’re looking at.
Their previously sloppy son who lived in their basement is doing better than his father was at his age. His muscles are toned, he has a nice haircut, and his fashion is impeccable. He even has a local girlfriend.
If this is what he could do in one year, the amount of growth that could take place in 5 years is unfathomable. The possibilities are endless.
You could say that our zero-to-hero did a million little things in the past year. He acquired countless skills, made tens of thousands of dollars online, got himself in the gym, and even learned how to talk to women.
But in reality, while he did plenty of little things…he actually did one big thing that started it all.
He took responsibility for his life.
He’s now on track to saving more money than anybody else his age. While everyone who ever picked on him rots away in an office from Monday to Friday, our hero now spends his days working in coffee shops, waking up whenever he pleases, and answering to nobody.
This type of growth is just not possible in the United States anymore, especially if you want to do it on your own terms.
In the end, we can’t help but wonder what has driven men to fail en masse in today’s world?
What Drives Men To Fail?
Can you really blame American men for not wanting to take responsibility for their lives?
The situation there for many people is nothing short of hopeless. As the West continues to become less and less of an attractive place to live, men are gradually giving up on the roles they once played.
There’s almost no motivation for men to take responsibility while living in America. Everything has been stolen from him. He has been beaten down, wrung out, and left out to dry by society.
I hate to tell you, but your future has been stolen from you by a group of people who explicitly want to destroy masculinity. Without sounding too conspiratorial I’ll ask you to do but one thing…
Think about it. If you destroy the men of a country, what else is there? Men have been the backbone of human civilization since the dawn of time.
It’s Time To Make A Move
Alright, the easy part is over.
No more complaining. It’s time to take action.
It is your responsibility as a man to address these issues, and if necessary, remove yourself from the environment that is holding you down.
The truth of the matter is that there is a reason why most men don’t want to accept responsibility for their lives. It appears to be a fruitless endeavor where they stand to gain nothing, and lose everything. Hope has been removed from the life of the average American man.
His prospects on finding success in the job market are lower than ever, his chances of finding a faithful, attractive wife or even just having sex regularly are even lower. Traditionally male spaces, such as the Boy Scouts, barber shops, and athletic clubs are aggressively becoming “feminized.”
The very freedoms his parents took for granted, and those which brought his ancestors to the United States are quickly going away, and never coming back.
Nearly every person who lives in America is an immigrant who’s ancestors arrived on promises of hope and ambition for a better life. Now that these promises have vaporized, it’s time to adapt this same, pioneering mentality, and take action.
As such, you must do what any logical human being would do…
Accepting Responsibility: Leave the United States & Go Abroad!
Look, I’m not going to say it’s impossible to take responsibility for your life, and begin doing each of the things mentioned in this article while living in the West.
The problem is that most men are not going to. The motivations just don’t exist to entice the average man into action anymore in the USA. Remember: men are visual, results oriented creatures. In the United States, men are beaten over the head each and every day by a future that no longer belongs to them.
But, in a place like Ukraine? You have everything to gain.
In fact, the phenomenon I described above is not unique at all. In fact, it’s rather common for scruffy looking boys traveling around Europe to end up settling in Eastern Europe, establishing themselves, and becoming men in the process.
You have two choices. You can stay in whatever Westernized hellhole you have come from that has ultimately brought you seeking the truth, or you can take action and begin accepting responsibility for your life.
Your moment of sympathy is over, and now it’s time to take ACTION. No more excuses. From now on, you gave everything to gain, and almost nothing to lose.

There’s no denying that Ukraine is one of the poorest countries in all of Europe. Between the fall of the Soviet Union, corruption, and ridiculous bureaucracy, the nation has been kept down for decades. Of course, this causes many people to wish to leave their home country behind. Phew, where to start with a question like this!
Ukraine was once a part of the Soviet Union, or USSR. To make a long story short, this was a massive nation that existed for 69 years that practiced an ideology known as Communism. This meant that all of the nation’s resources, including: labor, material goods and natural resources were controlled by the federal government, and everyone was given access to the same level of affluence.
In other words, they created a classless society that did away with the use of money. In 1991, this grand ideological experiment finally failed, and all nations that were a part of the USSR have been tasked with rebuilding their economies from scratch.
Some countries, such as Poland or Estonia, have done remarkably well at transitioning from a centrally planned economy to a free market. Others, like Ukraine, Serbia and Georgia, have struggled immensely.
As a result, joblessness remains high, most people lack the capital to start businesses, and economic progress is stalled.
As a result, few good jobs exist, and salaries remain extraordinarily low.
Then again, while this is undeniably bad for the average person living in Ukraine, it makes the former Soviet Union a hotspot for anybody with a mobile income stream.
Is The Number Accurate?
It is important to recognize that while the average salary in Ukraine is certainly quite low, one must also remember that this is just the money that the government “knows” about.
In reality, many people are being paid “under the table” or in cash so that it is not reported to the Ukrainian government. Therefore, this income is not taxed in such a way that someone’s salary is reduced even more.
Generally speaking, people in Ukraine do not trust the government or the banking system. Any logical person would not.
As such, most of the population hiding money will largely reduce the official numbers. Arrangements like this are extremely common in Ukraine, mostly due to the fact that they lack an IRS-type institution that will effectively peruse people for tax evasion.
In reality, the official number may be a bit closer to $600 per month for some, and even $1000 for others. While many people shriek when they hear this, it’s important to remember that the majority of families in the former Soviet Union were given free apartments, many of which remain with them to this very day.
When you remove housing from your cost of living, it is entirely possible to live off of $600 a month in Ukraine. You may not be living like a king, but in many places, you would actually do just fine.
If anything, this should serve as a wakeup call that some golden opportunities exist in Ukraine for those willing to spend time there.
What This Means For You
Perhaps the largest misconception that exists in regards to living in Ukraine (or any foreign country, for that matter), is that if you live in a poor country, you are automatically poor as well.
This is a massive oversimplification. It is entirely true that the most average Ukrainian lives in poverty and may only make $450 per month. But, it is also important to note that even making a meager online salary in dollars, pounds or euros will automatically put you into the top 1% of the nation’s earners.
Think about it…if the average salary is under $400 per month, and you’re making $1,500 per month, you’re a rich person.
The important distinction here is that, as an expat, you are most likely working online and earning an income that comes from outside of Ukraine. Generally speaking, you don’t go to Ukraine to try to get a job as a local would. Doing that puts you into the trap of earning something close to the nation’s average salary.
Live in Ukraine, Make Money Abroad
Herein lies the problem with people who choose to go abroad and work in a hostel, wait tables, or get a job teaching at a local English school. In reality, this is a terrible idea, and there are plenty of ways to leverage yourself to make money online as opposed to subjecting yourself to the backbreaking labor of a developing country.
The sad fact of the matter is that the average salary in Ukraine being low is awful for those who work domestically, and honestly quite good for those working remotely.
In other words, you essentially stand to benefit from the lackluster economic situation in the country. As someone who is still getting in on the country while it is “hot,” you are able to move there easily, save loads of money by enjoying a low cost of living and paying significantly less in US income tax if you are American.
This is why you will often see young guys with questionable sources of income driving Mercedes G-Wagons around in Ukraine. Everything else in the country is so cheap that they’re left with an abundance of cash if they make a decent wage by Western standards doing something illegal.
But of course, I’d never tell you to do that. Instead, I encourage you to flex your entrepreneurial muscles accordingly. Learn copywriting. Become an expert at coding. Do whatever you can to free yourself from the shackles of the 9-5! The benefits are huge.
Even if you’re working the most menial of online jobs, you can effectively stash away tens of thousands in extra income a year to the point where you have the opportunity to purchase real estate or invest in the stock market, retiring yourself early, and living a life of freedom.
What’s not to love? Try doing that in the USA!
