The Ultimate Guide To Getting Laid in Ukraine

The Ultimate Guide To Getting Laid in Ukraine

Sometimes in life, you’ve just gotta cut straight to the chase. While many men are interested in visiting Ukraine for travel, adventure, or even finding a longterm relationship, others are simply interested in seeing what it takes to get a hot Ukrainian girl into bed. Believe it or not, however, becoming intimate with a Ukrainian girl can be a bit of a challenge for someone who is new to Eastern Europe. Fortunately for you, we’re sparing no expense and getting straight to the bottom of an issue that plenty of guys want to know the answer to. Today, we’re discussing how to get laid in Ukraine.

Be sure to read every word of this article, as we’re laying out a step-by-step guide that we’ve used plenty of times to achieve victory in Ukraine.

But for starters, we have to debunk one myth that’s particularly false…

Rule #1: Ukrainian Women and Sex: Getting Laid in Ukraine Isn’t Easy, But Is Possible!

I really can’t stress this point enough.

Many people seem to have the idea that simply buying a plane ticket to Kyiv and waving around a Western passport will immediately grant them an unlimited supply of cute Ukrainian girls.

What you have to keep in mind here is that Ukrainian women are some of the highest quality on the entire earth. They’re a pedigree, like everything that a woman should be, but usually isn’t. They’re beautiful, gracious, and willing to let her man run the show.

And, the best women on earth don’t just share their bodies with any random man.

It takes a bit of work…and that’s fine.

Get Used To The Three Date Rule

There’s nothing wrong with going on three dates with a girl before you get into bed with her. It’s a good thing. More women should have the values that Ukrainian girls do.

But, let’s also not act like sex is some foreign concept to Ukrainian girls. While most girls in Ukraine are far from promiscuous, they’re not prudish either. If you follow the rules we lay out here today, you will maximize your chances of sleeping with a Ukrainian woman.

Compared with more Westernized countries, the time that it takes from meeting a girl to sleeping with her is definitely longer in Ukraine. That’s not to say that one night stands are not possible, especially if you maximize your options using dating apps.

But, just because you may not experience sex as soon as you meet a girl does not mean that it is off the table.

In fact, this is one area of life where if you just put in some time and a little bit of effort, you will be greatly rewarded.

I promise you that.

Do The Work: The Three Date & Seduction

Dating in Ukraine is an integral part of the seduction process.

Before a girl sleeps with a new man, she’s going to want to spend a little bit of time with him. One night stands are not as common as in countries like Sweden, Norway, the UK, or Germany.

It’s during this courtship process that she’ll likely be asking you why you’re in Ukraine, what you think of the country and what your plans are for the future. She’ll be feeling you out to see if you fit the archetype of being a “good guy” that she can maybe build a relationship with.

Fortunately for you, the dating process in Ukraine is relatively straightforward. If a girl agrees to go on a date with you, she’s interested. Ukrainian girls are not afraid to turn away men they don’t like. They play infinitely fewer games than American women.

It’s Not Rocket Science

Getting laid in Ukraine can be broken down into a simple, three-date formula. This formula is to be applied from the first time you meet a new girl, to the time when you hopefully get her into bed.

While the three-date formula is not always 100% accurate, you can generally expect it to take roughly three dates to sleep with a normal girl from Ukraine.

Granted, the sluttiest Ukrainian women who you meet online or at night may take far less time than this. But, these chances are fewer and farther between than simply going on dates with normal girls.

Date #1: Meet at a coffee shop, or go for a short walk through the town center.

This is a great first date, as it allows you a quick way of seeing if you actually like spending time with the girl or not. If you don’t quite jive with her, you can quickly bail on a coffee date. But, if you’re in Ukraine, you probably won’t be having this problem.

In cities like Lviv, going on walking dates can really be quite a memorable experience as the town is simply breathtaking. Even in Kyiv, which is far more industrialized, you’ll have no shortage of interesting places to walk.

Ukrainian girls love walking, so do not be surprised if she suggests you just go for a stroll around a local park while you talk and get to know each other. This is actually a common first date in Ukraine, believe it or not.

Seriously. A simple walk. Can you imagine?

To be fair, this is largely because most Ukrainian men are broke and cannot afford to take them out for cocktails. But, don’t discount it as an option either.

Going for a walk is a standard first date in Ukraine. Go along with it.

It’s during this time that you should simply let go and enjoy yourself. Stop at a kiosk and buy a coffee. Pay for hers. Always.

Ask each other questions about your family life, what you studied in school, and what your goals are for the future.

I try to limit these to one hour at most, and possibly even line up a few on the same day. Doing so allows you to maximize the number of women you meet in a short timeframe.

This is a low-pressure type of meetup. While I would suggest being slightly physical by perhaps touching her wrist if you’re sitting a table together, or maybe even casually resting your hand on her knee from time to time, this is not meant to be a sexually charged type of interaction.

You don’t want to come across as being too horny on your first date. Initiate physical contact in a light, playful manner. Remember, this isn’t America where a Tinder date can quickly turn into a hookup in 20 minutes.

It’s important to always try to go for the kiss near the end of this date. Just a simple kiss on the lips. Nothing crazy.

If she turns her cheek to you when you try to kiss her, do not worry. This is common among all Ukrainian women to reject the first advance that man makes on her. She’ll likely be playful in doing so, so don’t take it personally. Enjoy yourself.

You could say she’s “testing you” here to see just how badly you want it. Most Ukrainian women want a strong gentlemen type of man. While he will stop when he has to, he’s not afraid to go after what he wants.

In fact, if she smiles while she’s turning her cheek to you, don’t hesitate to try a few more times before your date is over.

Most of the time, she eventually gives in, and you’ve completed step #1 of getting laid in Ukraine.

I generally always try to land a kiss on the first date. If you don’t, it’s not the end of the world, but this is always a good goal to shoot for.

Plus, it gives you an indication that it’s time to turn things up a bit on your second date.

Date #2: Go out for a drink at a cocktail bar.

The second date is generally where you want to get a small amount of alcohol involved.

Remember, I said small.

You must keep in mind that most Ukrainian girls don’t drink too much. Heavy alcohol consumption has been a net negative for Ukraine. Many have watched their fathers struggle with alcoholism, and it’s left a bad impression on most young Ukrainian women.

Generally speaking, show her that you like to drink, but not to excess.

That being said, most Ukrainian girls will enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine with no reservations. But, don’t expect to get her drunk and turn her into a different person like a girl would in the West.

Even still, I use my second date as an opportunity to visit a nice cocktail bar. Chances are if she’s a local Ukrainian girl, she’s not used to visiting establishments that are a little bit more upscale such as a cool bar where you can get a mojito, a cosmopolitan or an old fashioned.

If she’s never had a cocktail before, help her pick one. Ask her what she likes, and try to make a guess based on the little bit you know about her. Make it fun. If she doesn’t like the one, don’t be afraid to order another. They’ll likely be less than $6 each, anyways.

I’d generally say to limit yourself to 2-3 cocktails here, but you be the judge of this. On your second date, it’s most important to try to get more physical than you could on your first date.

Think about it: the girl has already spent a few hours with you. She gave you her contact information and has agreed to meet with you twice.

She’s clearly interested. Don’t be afraid to get physical with her.

At your cocktail bar of choice, I always advise men to look for places that have bench seating where you can sit next to each other instead of perched at a bar or in two separate chairs.

Sitting directly next to one another allows for greater options for physical contact, and makes it less awkward if you want to place a hand on her back, her leg, or to play with her hair.

If you’re totally new to this, try putting your hand on her shoulder or thigh when you’re placing emphasis on something you’re saying. Do this a few times when telling a story, but eventually continue to rest your hand there after you’ve finished speaking.

Gradually escalate to the point where lightly touching her is no big deal, and it’s something she responds to positively.

It’s important not to go overboard here, especially if she’s a younger girl who is inexperienced with men. If the girl reacts negatively to you touching her, you should refrain from doing so as much.

That doesn’t mean to never put a hand on her shoulder, whisper something in her ear, or even playfully kick her foot under the table. But, it does mean you may have to tone things down.

Remember: be a strong gentleman. Be receptive to her desires, but unafraid of showing what you want.

Turn Up The Heat…If You Can

On the other hand, your second date could turn into a makeout session. This is ideal, as hopefully you’ll have landed the kiss on the first date, have initiated physical contact that she’s comfortable with, and are feeling a nice buzz from a good cocktail or two.

Enjoy these moments, as they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. The tension is a little bit high, and you both like each other. Remember that experiences with dating foreign women are some of the most fun you may experience in life.

If your girl is practically slobbering all over you, you can certainly try to escalate things by bringing her back to your house. I generally don’t do this, unless I’m out with a particularly slutty girl who I get the feeling is “easy.”

Most regular girls are still not going to sleep with you at this point, even if you’re making out. Finish your cocktails off, and go for a short walk around town. Better yet, tell her you want to walk her back to her house to make sure she gets home safely.

Little acts of chivalry like this are of the utmost importance in Ukraine. This will show her that you’re not just trying to get her in bed…even if that’s your main goal.

All in all, these two dates set the stage for what is ideally your third date with her: a dinner & movie at your place.

Date #3: Dinner & A Movie At Your Place

If you haven’t already noticed, this is where you finally seal the deal.

Ukraine is one country where it pays to be a man who knows how to cook.

Most men in Ukraine scoff at the idea of cooking. There is no Ukrainian Gordan Ramsey or Anthony Bourdain who has made it a cool, masculine thing to do. But, all the girls have seen these guys on TV and absolutely eat it up.

I can’t tell you how many girls I’ve gotten to come back to my house by offering to cook them a basic meal. Many of them have never had a man cook for them, ever. It’s often little more than a simple pasta dish, but to them, it is as if they are eating at the world’s finest restaurant.

Now, I have a good bit of experience cooking, so this is second nature to me. If you’re not the kind of guy who particularly enjoys cooking, you can choose to omit the “dinner” section of this date. That being said, if you do know anything about making a basic meal, it’s a huge point of attraction to Ukrainian women.

A girl agreeing to come to your home in Ukraine is kind of a big deal. In fact, don’t be surprised if many of the girls that you meet are hesitant towards coming to your apartment, even if it’s only for a minute to get an umbrella or a jacket. If a girl comes to your house, she’s probably considered having sex with you already.

That doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed, but in many ways, it is implied.

The dinner & a movie date is where you ideally attempt to seal the deal. It’s a fantastic opportunity to get comfortable, share a bottle of wine, play some nice music, and just enjoy your time together.

Plus, cooking brings with it a whole host of opportunities to get physical and interact. Experiment by making light demands, saying things like “Hey, go get me that towel over there so I can wipe the countertop.”

Better yet, you can even “teach” her to cook a little bit by employing her to do basic tasks such as chopping up vegetables or setting the table. Don’t think you need to go overboard here and turn her into your assistant, but women generally enjoy having a strong man who they’re attracted to show his dominance over her, even in a tiny way like this.

Seal The Deal

At this point, you’ve both had a few glasses of wine. Some nice music from a YouTube playlist is playing from your laptop in the background. You’re both in a comfortable, private apartment that is most likely nicer than the one she’s grown up in. Better yet, you’re both working on something together.

If you two truly connect, you could totally burn the meal and ruin it, and still have a fun time together getting a takeout pizza. The purpose of this date is not to highlight your culinary skills, but rather to have a good time together in a private environment with a little bit of alcohol to loosen things up.

After you finish eating, do the dishes, and turn on a movie on your apartment television. It pays to travel with a basic HDMI cord that hooks up to the television in your Airbnb, and having a few movies downloaded on your hard drive that are ready to go.

If you’re staying at a hotel, you could alternatively just go somewhere for dinner and try to get her back to your room, but that’s far more of a stretch in my opinion. I generally suggest guys that are looking to go to Ukraine for the purposes of connecting with women get a nice Airbnb instead.

Turn the movie on, dim the lights, and cuddle up under a blanket. At this point, it’s up to you to seal the deal. But, what I will say is that if a girl has volunteered to go along with all of the above steps, you likely won’t face much resistance if you take her to your bedroom afterward.

That, my friends, is the three-date formula for getting laid in Ukraine.

How To Meet Ukrainian Girls

Now, I know you’re probably thinking “How do I get dates in a foreign country without ever being there?”

Good question. Even if you don’t know a single soul in Ukraine, you can start chatting with Ukrainian women today with the help of the internet.

You absolutely have to use online dating apps prior to arriving in Ukraine if you want to maximize your chances of success. Sure, you can immediately hit the streets as soon as you land, and make it your job to meet girls. In fact, I suggest you do this a few times just for the experience.

But, by only relying on meeting girls in person, you’re missing out on plenty of opportunities to connect with single Ukrainian girls who are interested in dating a foreigner.

Here’s how you REALLY do it…

Meet Ukrainian Girls Online: The Key To Getting Laid in Ukraine

Think about it: only 10% of girls you meet anywhere will be attracted to you and interested in dating. Of that 10%, many will be in relationships already, will have recently broken up and won’t be interested in dating, or might just be in a bad mood.

Women are weird creatures. You can do everything right, and they still might say no. So it goes.

Take it from someone who loves meeting girls in person: using dating apps is crucial to getting laid in Ukraine. It’s a total numbers game, and by using online dating, you’re significantly bumping up your chances of being successful.

While there are a whole host of websites out there, I recommend signing up for an account with our personal favorite, Ukraine Date. We like it so much that we even did a full review on the site.

Ukraine Date totally blows apps like Tinder out of the water. Best of all, signing up for an account is completely free. Even if you’re just slightly curious about Ukrainian girls, I highly suggest checking it out.

Meeting Ukrainian Girls in Person

While we’re huge advocates of using dating websites to meet Ukrainian girls, we also strongly suggest approaching Ukrainian women once you’ve arrived in Ukraine.

Here are a few tips on doing just that!

Meeting Ukrainian Girls During the Day

Ukraine is something of a paradise for approaching girls in person during the daytime.

Girls in Ukraine appreciate straightforward masculinity, and many expect men to walk up to them during the day to start a conversation. While this activity is frowned upon in many places, Ukraine is not one of these places.

The easiest way to get started meeting Ukrainian girls during the day is with one simple but effective line…

“Excuse me, do you speak English?”

These six words essentially give you permission to start talking to any girl you may see. The most straightforward path forward here is to ask for help in locating something such as a monument, a metro station, or a supermarket. Gradually hint at the fact that you’re traveling from somewhere else, and spark up a conversation from here.

We’ve covered meeting Ukrainian women during the day rather extensively in our post on Ukrainian dating culture. Check it out if you’re interested in sharpening up your day game abilities!

Night Game in Ukraine

To be perfectly upfront, Ukraine is not necessarily the best country for using night game or meeting girls at night.

While it is entirely possible to do so, Ukraine isn’t known for its nightlife when compared to other cities. On top of that, Ukraine is very much a table service type of country. Unlike in a place like Serbia, most Ukrainians prefer to sit at a table instead of milling around socializing in an American style bar.

Even still, I suggest you go out, hit the bars, and approach women at night. Your model for Ukrainian night game can be very similar to that used during the day, if not slightly more direct.

Feel free to utilize the “do you speak English” opener in the nightclub or when passing a group of pretty girls on the street. The beauty of approaching at night, however, is that you can be more direct.

If you want to learn more about meeting Ukrainian girls at night, check out our guide to Ukrainian night game.

The Problems With Only Meeting Girls In Person

The problem with relying only on meeting girls in person is you likely have a limited amount of time in the country. Realistically, you could turn up to Ukraine, approach 100 women in real life, and still go home empty-handed.

It’s frustrating, I know. This is exactly why you must diversify your approach.

By contrast, if you use a dating app, you’ll have pre-screened for girls that are attractive, single, and interested in meeting you. It goes without saying that this skyrockets your chances of success of getting laid in Ukraine.

I’m all about maximizing my chances of success in every possible area when I’m going after something I want. By using a combination of dating apps, daytime approaches, and night game, you’re covering “land, sea, and sky.”

Do this, and success with Ukrainian women will be in your near future.

Conclusion: Is It Possible To Get Laid in Ukraine?

Getting laid in Ukraine is 100% possible, provided you’re willing to put in a little bit of time.

And, you will find that the time you invest will pay off hugely in the future. Unlike with a Western woman who you may just want to sleep with once, a Ukrainian woman truly keeps you coming back for more. They’re that good. Seriously.

Who knows…you might never even leave the country. You may laugh now, but plenty of guys are more than willing to drop everything and relocate to Eastern Europe after getting a little taste of the local talent.

To recap, the exact steps to getting laid in Ukraine go as follows:

  • Pipeline matches before arriving using dating apps.
  • Approach both at night & during the day using the above tips.
  • Follow the three-date formula, have a private apartment to go back to.
  • Schedule dates multiple girls in case one prospect fails.
  • Rinse & repeat.

If you follow the above formula, there’s a very good chance you will eventually get laid over the course of a few weeks. Depending on how skillful you are, you could potentially even pull this off in a few days.

The main points that this program seeks to capitalize on are maximizing your chances of meeting a girl using in-person game and dating websites, showing that you’re willing to put in three dates with a girl, and trying it with multiple women concurrently.

And, there you have it. Our formula for successfully getting laid in Ukraine. While it may not be the easiest task in the world, it is 100% possible to do.

So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and make it happen.

The REAL Differences Between Russian and Ukrainian Girls

The REAL Differences Between Russian and Ukrainian Girls

Most men would love to have a hot Russian or Ukrainian woman in their life. Russian and Ukrainian girls have a reputation for being beautiful, traditional, and very much willing to do what it takes to please their man. And with the internet connecting people from all over the world, there has never been a better time to start dating foreign women. That being said, you must be careful not to think that Russian and Ukrainian girls are one and the same. In fact, they are actually very different from one another! Today, we’re diving deep into the true differences between Russian and Ukrainian girls.

Russian Girls

Generally less traditional than Ukrainian girls.

This is a big one.

Both Russia and Ukraine are rather “traditional” countries, where standard gender roles apply. Women do their best to maximize their appearance, and men do everything they can to maximize their potential as masculine providers.

At least, in an idealistic sense, this is how it’s supposed to work.

In Russia, however, feminism has become far more culturally acceptable than in Ukraine. This has much to do with Russia being a huge country with far more ideologies and diversity in opinions. And, you very well may find women that are just as traditional in smaller towns in Russia that you would in Ukraine.

But, in my own experience, Russian women are typically more open to meeting foreigners, hooking up, and “having fun” than Ukrainian girls. There is also an absolutely astronomical infidelity rate. It is said that up to 43% of couples in Russia have not remained faithful through their marriage.

It is the highest in the entire world.

Those are odds I don’t like playing with. Then again, if I just wanted to hook up versus have a relationship, I’d look at Russia pretty favorably.

Pro-tip: We reviewed the best Russian dating site if you’re interested in meeting Russian girls.

While they try to attribute these stats mostly to men, it has been my experience that Russian women absolutely cheat more than Ukrainian girls. I have no real data to back this up, but as someone who has dated plenty of Russian and Ukrainian women, this has been my observation.

Russian women may appear more beautiful than Ukrainians.

This is another big one. Everyone is always remarking at just how hot Russian women are. Going to Moscow is absolutely mesmerizing. the beauty is just off the charts, even when compared to Kyiv.

But, we have to keep in mind that this is often because Russian women have access to more money than their Ukrainian counterparts. Ukraine is the second poorest country in Europe. Russia has one of the world’s top 10 economies.

You do the math. It’s not hard to figure out what’s going on here.

Now, this certainly doesn’t mean that the standard of living for all Russians is high. Not by a long shot. What it does mean is that women in Russia most likely have more disposable income to spend on themselves. Whether it’s beauty products, gym memberships, or dental appointments, Russian girls are on it.

Personally, I believe that Ukraine is the real winner here in terms of natural beauty. But, Russian women can appear marginally more beautiful due to having higher salaries.

Even still, this is a razor-thin margin that’s taken me years to really see.

It’s mostly a draw here, to be honest.

But, let’s not forget that there’s generally no standard looking Russian woman. The country is absolutely gigantic, with parts of it bordering on the Middle East and Northern Asia. In Russia, you actually have a huge variety of women to choose from.

Huge variance in appearance.

You have Russian women who appear to be Asian, Russian women who appear to be Turkish, and of course, some who look like the typical blonde bombshell that they’re known for being.

Believe it or not, you can find Russian women with a huge diversity in their physical characteristics. Remember that Russia borders countries like Georgia, and the further you get to these regions, the more the appearance of the average woman is going to sway in another direction.

This can be a perk, depending on what type of woman you like. I’ve dated plenty of women from the Caucuses region that lies between Russia and the Middle East and had a seriously great time.

PS: If you want to experience the more “exotic” types of women we’re talking about here, check out this website.

More Cosmopolitan Minded

Again, this is predictable due to the greater economic prosperity that most Russians have over the average Ukrainian.

There are currently 3.13 million Russians living in the United States. There are 16,000 Russians living in the United Kingdom. In fact, the Russian diaspora is spread all over the world at this point.

Generally speaking, I have found Russian women to be more interested in living abroad. Ukrainian girls, on the other hand, tend to have much more of a “hometown girl” personality and balk at the idea of moving away from their families on a permanent basis.

But, that certainly does not mean that Russian girls don’t LOVE their home country.

Usually Very Patriotic

Even if you meet a Russian person living outside of Russia, there’s a good chance they are proud of their heritage.

Despite the fact that you could make the argument that the Russian government is oftentimes just as terrible as the Ukrainians, many Russians proudly boast about their roots.

For example, you could see this on full display when Khabib Nurgamedov was fighting in UFC 229. Twitter was absolutely ablaze with everyone with an ounce of Russian blood posting Russian flag emojis and writing in broken Cyrillic. It’s as if every person with even an ounce of Russian blood had grown up in Moscow!

There’s certainly nothing wrong with this, and honestly, I think it’s pretty cool. But, chances are you’ll most likely not see such displays of patriotism on display from most Ukrainian girls.

Ukrainian Girls – Our Personal Favorite

Typically very traditional.

Ukrainian women are quite often very traditional. This is why so many men will go to Ukraine and return bitter and empty-handed. They simply expected to show up and immediately start landing one night stands.

In Ukraine, it just doesn’t work that way, usually.

If you don’t prepare by using a dating app to pipeline your matches before you arrive, you’re setting yourself up for failure.

You can definitely have a good time in Ukraine. But, it’s far more of a place to look for a serious girlfriend or a wife than just a hookup.

While I’ve personally seen countless Russian women cheating on their significant others, I actually never met any Ukrainian girl who admitted to cheating on her boyfriend of husband.

Now, that’s not to say that it does not take place. I am simply saying that female infidelity, hookup culture, and being promiscuous is really quite taboo in Ukrainian culture.

Needless to say, this is one of the best attributes of dating a Ukrainian woman.

One standard look.

There is a remarkably low variance in the appearance of the average Ukrainian women when compared with Russia.

There are a few small cities where Ukrainian women will appear somewhat more Balkan, such as the Romanian border town Chernivtsi. But, this is the exception and not the rule.

Honestly, most Ukrainian women look rather similar.

Sure, you have variations in hair color and, to a lesser degree, height. But, you’re most likely going to be dealing with your standard, Slavic looking woman in Ukraine.

This includes high cheekbones, an angular facial structure, and pale skin. By contrast, these characteristics only account for a fraction of the total Russian population.

She probably thinks her home country sucks.

Now, it’s easy to interpret this as a big red flag. After all, how could a girl hate the place she’s grown up?

But, sadly enough, it’s a pretty reasonable conclusion.

The Ukrainian government has put its people through the wringer for the past 10 years.

Imagine that the small amount of money that your parents had in the bank magically disappears. The bank blames the government. The government blames the bank. Nobody is there to pay them back.

Yeah, you’d be upset too.

Well, all of these things have happened in Ukraine in the past decade,

While you’re largely immune from all of the negative consequences that come alongside growing up in Ukraine by just living there, you have to remember that most Ukrainian people have a few choices words to use about their government…

Even though most Ukrainian girls may not necessarily believe they have the world’s best government, most wouldn’t dare to move away from their families for an extended period of time.

A small-town mentality.

Most Ukrainian girls dream of being able to visit elsewhere. But, the majority of them don’t actually get to go to exotic locales and live abroad.

The average Ukrainian girl is going to live in Ukraine for the rest of her life, despite the fact that some have managed to leave since the Visa liberalization scheme in 2013.

The reality is that most Ukrainian girls are homebodies. They wouldn’t dare to move away from her family, as their traditional nature tells them that it’s important to remain connected to those immediately related to you.

It’s for this reason that you’ll often see a girl’s entire family follow her to the United States if she does manage to get there.

While this might seem ridiculous to Americans, you have to understand that Ukrainian culture is one that values not just the role of parents, but also of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone else in their immediate bloodline.

This is why you will often see the most successful relationships between Ukrainian and Western men taking place in Ukraine.

The man moves to her country, not the other way around.

In fact, if I meet a Russian or Ukrainian girl who has moved to the United States all by herself on a permanent basis, I take this as a red flag.

Finding Foreign Girls in the West?

Generally, I’m really hesitant to try to compare the Russian and Ukrainian girls that you meet in the United States with those you meet in their own countries.

Like it or not, there’s a Westernization process that takes place when these girls leave the environment that’s created them. On top of that, many of these women are isolated from their families and away from the order that their household provided for them.

This can make for a bit of a “going crazy” phase that many new arrivals to the West will go through. Gradually, many of them lose their traditionalism as they’re forced to face the world on their own.

I hate to say it, but a good few of the Russian and Ukrainian girls I’ve come across abroad are somewhat damaged. They can sometimes be a bit sketchy. It’s unclear why they’re in the United States all alone, why they left their family, and what the basis was for their visa.

This is not an indictment of all of them. But, I am simply saying that when dating a Russian or Ukrainian girl in any place outside of her home country, to keep in mind that she has ultimately been removed from the environment that has made her so special in the first place.

While above-average genetics certainly has something to do with the elegance and class of these ladies, we have to recognize that the environment plays a significant factor in creating the women that we adore so much.

It’s for this reason that even if you’re in West, I recommend you use a good online dating site to meet Russian or Ukrainian girls instead of looking for them in your local city.

Conclusion – The Differences Between Russian and Ukrainian Girls Are HUGE!

To an outsider looking in, it can seem like the differences between Russian and Ukrainian girls are small. In reality, this is simply not the case! Ukrainian women are their own type of special, even when compared with their Russian neighbors. While there are plenty of fantastic Russian women in the world, a combination of factors makes Ukrainian girls our clear favorite here.

Good luck out there!

An In-Depth Guide On The Cost of Living in Ukraine

An In-Depth Guide On The Cost of Living in Ukraine

Ukraine is one of the cheapest countries to live in the entire world. As the second poorest country in Europe, a significant amount of the population manages to get by on roughly $400-$600 a month. While many may believe that this means it is a less than desirable place to live, it is quite the opposite. For someone earning a salary in US dollars, euros or pounds, Ukraine is an incredibly inexpensive place to live. Today, we’re going in-depth to discuss the realities of the cost of living in Ukraine.

Why is The Cost of Living in Ukraine So Cheap?

Why is the cost of living in Ukraine so cheap?

I remember being a young, 10-year-old child and going on vacation to Mexico with my parents. While everyone in my family couldn’t stop talking about going snorkeling, trips to the beach, and our hotel, my Dad was transfixed on something else entirely.

“This exchange rate is amazing. It’s cheaper there for us, right now.”

This was one concept I couldn’t quite wrap my head around. How could prices be lower if you go to another country? Why is it that money from the West is worth more than the money in Mexico?

Alas, this was my first ever exposure to something known as the “exchange rate.”

An exchange is simply the amount of currency that you can exchange for another.

For example, the euro and the dollar are relatively close in terms of their value, with the euro often being worth just a few cents more per dollar.

The British pound, on the other hand, is typically worth 30% more than each dollar, currently equaling out to £1 to $1.24.

And, due to the economically depressed nature of Ukraine, 1 American dollar goes a very long way compared to what it is worth at home.

The Ukrainian Exchange Rate

For example, in Ukraine, $1 is worth roughly ₴27 hryvnias (the Ukrainian currency).

That’s roughly the cost of a beer in a pub or a snack on the street. ₴80 hryvnias, or about $3.20, will get you a small meal in some restaurants. ₴120 hryvnias, or $5, will get you a very proper lunch in many restaurants.

Really, it should come as no surprise that money from one of the strongest economies on earth is worth a substantially large amount in countries like Ukraine, Georgia, or even Serbia.

On top of that, it’s not just the dollar that allows a huge amount of economic mobility in developing countries. The euro, pound, franc, and every other prominent currency enjoys this same benefit.

As such, even a meager internet based salary (by Western standards) can very well put you in the top 10% of earners in the country.

That’s right. If you can make even as little as $30,000 a year online, you can absolutely live in an upper-class lifestyle in Ukraine. Plus, as someone who resides outside of their home country for a significant amount of time, you’ll quite likely be exempt from paying the majority of taxes that your fellow citizens are required.

In fact, you will most likely be extremely hard-pressed to spend $30,000, particularly if you’re living outside of Kyiv.

As you can see, living in Ukraine as a foreigner can be a pretty sweet deal.

And it gets even sweeter if you’re careful with which city you pick!

Which City Will You Choose?

The city you live in will also dictate your general cost of living in Ukraine.

Below, we outline just how expensive each Ukrainian city is.

Kyiv

It goes without saying that Kyiv is the city with the highest cost of living in Ukraine. Even still, it is extremely cheap by Western standards. The only even slightly expensive bill you may run into in Kyiv is for housing in the city center. While you can certainly live in a studio outside of the center for $450 a month, most people I know are paying $750 a month for a spacious flat in a great location. Other than that, restaurants, bars, taxis, and groceries are still going to be dirt cheap and comparable to the rest of Ukraine.

To be fair, truly living the “good life” in Kyiv where you’re trying to be a budget baller is a little more challenging as it’s a large-scale business hub. I’d generally say that you should be prepared to spend an extra $350 a month if you choose to live in Kyiv as opposed to any other city in Ukraine.

Lviv

Lviv is said to be one of the cheapest cities in Europe right now. Friends who visited from Thailand even said that Lviv is far cheaper than Southeast Asia in many places. The only issue is that, due to the fact that it is the most touristic town in Ukraine, you occasionally may see a small hike in prices at restaurants, but only if you plan on going to the most luxurious of places. Realistically, you’ll still be paying less than $25 for a nice meal for two. New apartments can be had for under $400 a month in the direct center.

Kharkiv

Surprisingly, Kharkiv is thought to be one of the cheapest cities in all of Ukraine, even more than Lviv. While it is the second-largest city in the country, it is generally not visited by many tourists and is very much a student town. On top of that, I’ve heard of numerous Americans working there in IT, often making upwards of $30 per hour as there’s a fair amount of outsourcing that’s taking place there. Again, you’ll be looking at paying less than $400 a month for a newly renovated apartment and lunches for $3-$5.

Other Towns

If you are truly obsessed with saving money, you could very well choose to spend some time in a city like Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, or Chernivtsi. In each of these places, you should absolutely be able to rent a genuinely nice apartment for less than $350 each month and see even further savings in virtually every other category.

Even still, I find life in these places to be drab and boring. I’d rather find ways to make more money and live in a larger city.

Ultimately, life can be lived for less than $1000 in every city in Ukraine if you are truly pinching your pennies. On the other hand, you can easily spend $2000 a month living in the direct center of Kyiv.

Personally, I find a lifestyle balance right in the middle of those two numbers.

Your Lifestyle Dictates Your Spending

Your lifestyle dictates your spending when calculating your cost of living in Ukraine.

Ultimately, the beauty of Ukraine is that you can live there on a skint budget, or you can spend a little more cash and live it up. It’s up to you.

I’ve met plenty of thrifty expats with $500 to their name having plenty of fun drinking their way across the country and staying in hostels. On the other hand, I’ve met plenty of location independent entrepreneurs who are jet-set on scaling their online businesses.

I do find it hard to believe that most normal people will reasonably spend more than $2,500 each month while living in Ukraine. You would have to be living a truly extravagant lifestyle, going out to eat each night, and likely paying off a vehicle as well.

I certainly could choose to do this myself, but I personally like to watch that cash stack up.

Personally, I find the biggest advantage to living in a developing country being that you can set aside a huge amount of your income into investments which then have the ability to help you make money while you sleep.

These can be as simple as investing in a stock market mutual fund such as those offered through Vanguard, or even purchasing real estate and renting it out on Airbnb.

It is for this reason that I generally choose to spend about $1250 a month in total for all of my living expenses.

My Monthly Budget: The Cost of Living in Ukraine in Real Life

Below, I’m giving you a breakdown on my monthly budget so you can see my exact cost of living in Ukraine.

Necessary Expenses

$600 – Rent & Bills.

I will admit that I’m slightly overpaying, as I tend to move cities quite a bit. As I’m on a month to month agreement with the landlord, it is slightly higher. Realistically, if I were to agree to a year, this would drop to $500 a month or less. This price includes all bills, including heating, air conditioning, and water.

Even still, my place is brand new, in the nicest part of town, and mine alone. I could hire a maid for $4 an hour, but I’ve been a little bit cheap lately.

$250 – Food.

I eat quite a lot. Most people are not going to spend $250 a month on food. I’m rather serious about physical training, so I follow a diet where I consume a large amount of protein each day and roughly 2500 calories to go along with it.

These costs do add up for me, which is fine. In the USA, I’d be paying double this.

$80 – Going Out

I quite enjoy hitting the local bars and nightclubs no matter where I’m at. I don’t shy away from taking girls on dates that may cost up to $20 for a few cocktails.

Going out is a big part of dating.

I welcome this expense and am glad to pay it.

$50 – $100 – Restaurants

Though I love cooking at home, I go out to eat pretty frequently. Lately, it’s been a bunch of little business lunches and street food. I’d say I’m having at least one meal in a restaurant every three days or so.

But, there’s been times where I’ll take girls on dates to the fanciest places, and I’ve paid $80 for a meal and a few bottles of wine that would have cost $180 in any other city.

This also includes near-daily trips to the coffee shop, where I’ll purchase one or two cappuccinos for a whopping total of $3.

Somewhat Unnecessary Expenses

$100 – Clothing

Clothes at stores like Zara and H&M are largely the same price as in the West. Nice trainers from Nike or Reebok are also similarly priced, depending on where you purchase them.

Generally speaking, you’re not going to save money on fashion in Ukraine unless you plan on hitting up the town’s second-hand stores, which can yield some pretty interesting pieces if you’re into fashion. It’s in these places that they price clothing by the kilogram. Last I checked, it was about $3 per kilogram of clothes!

I don’t have the patience for this, and these shops are notoriously dirty. Hipster girls love them, though. Plus, I didn’t move to Ukraine so I can shop at the thrift store!

I just go to the local mall and pay Western prices.

$50 – Taxis

I take taxis way too much, but I don’t care. It’s part of the luxury of being in Ukraine. You can simply use Uber as you would in the West, and it’s about 1/10th the cost.

Yes, taxi rides are usually no more than $3. It’s amazing. This is perhaps the biggest saving that you will encounter on your expat journey.

All in all, that $50 paid for 15 taxi rides. Realistically, I could just use public transportation for .30 cents a ride, but I’m kind of lazy and frequently miss the busses and trains in my area.

$50 – Personal Care

This is a category for things like toothpaste, deodorant, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. These things are definitely cheaper than in the West by at least 30-40% or so. Better yet, it’s the exact same products, down to the brand names.

$12 – Cellphone

Of course, I have to mention my cellphone plan with Life Cell.

$12 gets me unlimited calling, data, and texting. I use my data plan to create a mobile hotspot when I’m away from WiFi, too.

TOTAL: $1250

Conclusion: The Cost of Living in Ukraine is a HUGE Benefit

The cost of living in Ukraine is a huge benefit.

The cost of living was one of the first things that enticed me into moving to Eastern Europe. I was absolutely sick of having to check my bank account every day and worry that taking a few taxis and wanting to have my own apartment would bankrupt me.

Since moving to Ukraine, I have been able to significantly increase my net worth, despite the fact that I made more money while living in the United States.

For this, we can thank Ukraine’s extremely low cost of living.

While many people may believe that at expat goes to a developing country to be stingy with their money, the fact is living abroad presents a unique opportunity to get years ahead of your peers in terms of your total net worth and portfolio size.

Or, you can just enjoy cheap beer and live the easy life.

The choice is yours!

A Tourist’s Guide To The Tunnel of Love Ukraine

A Tourist’s Guide To The Tunnel of Love Ukraine

Ukraine is known all around the world for having some seriously amazing attractions things for tourists to enjoy. Whether it’s the capital city of Kyiv, the infamous Chernobyl reactor site, or even just the hordes of pretty girls that walk the streets each day, foreigners will find plenty to keep them busy in Ukraine. But, one of the most stunning (and commonly overlooked) attractions that Ukraine has to offer is the Tunnel of Love. Today, we’re talking all about this beautiful site that every visitor to Ukraine should see.

What is the Tunnel of Love?

The Tunnel of Love in Ukraine is simply beautiful.

The Tunnel of Love is a 5 kilometer stretch of industrial railway in Western Ukraine. What makes this railway unique is that it is completely covered by trees from all angles. What’s resulted is a forest canopy that encloses the entire railway, making for one of the most unique landscapes you will ever see.

But, how did it get this way? Surely, this must have been intentionally designed by a team of landscapers, right?

Well, sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. In fact, the Tunnel of Love in Ukraine came about as a happy accident of sorts.

During Soviet times, trees and other shrubs were planted around railways to prevent them from being seen by aircraft and other forces hostile to the USSR. This was a low-tech, yet highly effective way of masking supply routes to feed the rapidly industrializing Soviet Union.

Decades have passed since the trees were first planted, and they have been kept neatly trimmed by trains passing by on the railway itself. Any time a branch grows even a few inches too far, it is quickly cut down by one of the passing trains on the route. As such, the trees have “learned” not to grow too far into the path of the railway.

Where Does The Train Go?

In case you haven’t noticed, it’s not the train ride itself that’s the attraction, but rather the path of the train itself.

The train route is largely used by the Odek Plywood Factory for transporting finished pieces of plywood harvested from Ukraine’s native birch tree population to the Klevan Railway Station. From there, they are exported across Europe, as Ukrainian birch is known to make some of the finest plywood available.

It is also interesting to note that at one point, the train tracks split in two, with one track going to a Soviet-era military base that is thought to still be active to this day. That being said, it’s many kilometers away from the tunnel itself, and you won’t be stumbling upon any military activities by accident.

In many ways, the Tunnel of Love is a perfect metaphor for Ukraine as a whole. A complete accident that was spurred by Soviet industrialization that’s turned out to be a hidden gem that the world can marvel at and enjoy decades after a societal breakdown.

You can’t help but appreciate that such a perfect storm of factors could only happen in a place like Ukraine. Anywhere else in the world, the railroad would have been rerouted, the trees would have been cut down, or it would be turned into a cheesy national park that costs $30 to get into.

Not in Ukraine. It’s been left in all of it’s untouched, accidental beauty.

What we’re left with is an accidental piece of complete and utter beauty, appreciated by loving couples the world over.

Legend Has It…

Legend's play a big role in the allure of the Tunnel of Love in Ukraine.

Believe it or not, it’s only been in recent years that the greater public has discovered the existence of the Tunnel of Love. It was only after the photos started to go viral on social media that tourists began catching on to its existence.

If you’re looking for a nice trip to take your Ukrainian sweetheart on, look no further.

But, it goes without saying that the local people of provincial Ukraine have admired its beauty for many years. As such, legends have been created surrounding it even though it’s only a few decades old.

The folktale says that if a couple visits there, and makes a wish together, it will eventually be granted provided that both of them have genuine intentions and are truly in love.

The attraction has become popular for wedding photos and for meandering young couples to lazily

Safety First!

Contrary to what you may think, the Tunnel of Love is a relatively safe place to visit. Trains are rather infrequent, passing by only a few times a day and the site is hugely popular with tourists.

As such, train conductors know to keep a sharp eye on the tracks and to travel at relatively low speeds.

There was one unfortunate incident where a Japanese woman injured her hip in 2017, but this is one of the only known times when someone was injured on the train tracks. Fortunately, she’s made a full recovery and is now (hopefully) far more vigilant of passing trains.

If you’re concerned about safety, don’t be.

The Tunnel of Love is perfectly safe.

How To Get To Ukraine’s Tunnel of Love

The Tunnel of Love is located between the tiny village of Orzhiv and Klevan. Keep in mind, this is in Western Ukraine, closer to Lviv than Kyiv. The best place to base yourself if you’re looking to travel to the Tunnel of Love is in Rivne. It is the closest town and is only 30 minutes away.

But, getting to Rivne from any of Ukraine’s major cities will require a trip on the country’s rail system. Surprisingly, trains in Ukraine can be rather nice, particularly if you upgrade to a private car. Upgrades typically cost less than $10 per person and ensure you have a locking compartment and can enjoy your privacy.

You can book your train tickets in Ukraine with this website.

From Kyiv

As of our time writing this, the train from Kyiv to Rivne takes approximately 6 hours and costs roughly 400UAH round trip, or $16. Unfortunately, it typically arrives at 4:00 AM, meaning you’d be best off checking into a hotel for the night before heading to the tunnel.

From Lviv

Traveling to the tunnel from Lviv is quite easy. The train from Lviv to Rivne takes just under 3 hours in total. Depending on the timeframes, you can either do this as a day trip or plan an overnight stay.

From Rivne

Once you’re in Rivne, you can simply take a taxi to Klevan and ask your driver to drop you off at the Tunnel of Love. They will know where they’re going, and it should really cost no more than 500 UAH, or $20. Your hotel should be able to call you someone who is reliable and trustworthy.

Tell your concierge to have them come back in a few hours to pick you up after you are done touring.

If you’re feeling particularly cheap, you can take a marshrutka (or a minibus) from the Klevan train station. Tell the bus driver that you want to be let out at the tunnel of love. Have your Google translate handy!

They’ll know exactly where to take you.

Tour, Or No Tour?

Generally speaking, I think that much of the fun of Ukraine involves going at it yourself. Half of the experience involves riding Soviet-era trains and maybe even taking old school minibusses to get where you’re going. For me, this is one of my favorite parts of living in Ukraine as a foreigner.

Sure, there are definitely tours out there. They’ll overcharge you and give you a watered-down experience. Needless to say, I’d suggest just considering doing it on your own. Plus, if you have a lovely Ukrainian girl to tag along with, she’ll make the process as easy as pie.

Where To Stay

Choosing where to stay when visiting the Tunnel of Love in Ukraine is a no brainer.

One of my favorite parts of Ukraine involves venturing out into the less explored territories of the country. If I could recommend any hotels in Rivne, they would be as follows…

  1. Hotel Rivne Ukraine – Consistently the top-rated hotel in Rivne. While I wouldn’t say that it’s as luxurious as those you would find in major cities, it’s really quite nice for being just $40 a night.
  2. Hotel Boutique Central – A smaller hotel that’s just as nice, if not slightly nicer than Hotel Rivne. They include a delicious breakfast with your hotel stay, and the rooms are slightly more modern than most others in the town.
  3. Optima Rivne – Also a fantastic choice for a stay in Rivne. While this hotel is usually frequented by business travelers, it provides Western-style convenience in the center of Rivne.

While you can definitely stay in Klevan, I’d suggest having a short trip to the nearby town of Rivne for a night or so. There’s a bit more to do and see in Klevan, and the hotels are worlds better than those in Rivne.

The above travel guide will get you to and from there with no problems whatsoever. On top of that, you can even schedule in a trip to the Ukrainian cultural capital of Lviv if you’re in that neck of the woods.

Conclusion – Is Visiting Ukraine’s Tunnel of Love Worth it?

Absolutely.

The whole experience is nothing short of a total joy, and is seriously dirt cheap to boot. Traveling around to the smaller parts of Ukraine is one of the best parts of an extended visit, and visiting the Tunnel of Love can provide experiences that are sure to last a lifetime.

Of course, the process is a whole lot more fun if you have a local Ukrainian girl to bring along with you. If you’re interested in dating Ukrainian girls, I highly suggest that you check out this website.

Have fun out there!

Age of Consent Ukraine: An Inside Look at the Rules!

Age of Consent Ukraine: An Inside Look at the Rules!

Men from all over the world dream of meeting a beautiful Ukrainian girl for dating, marriage, and a life of love. It makes perfect sense, as Ukraine is one of the most friendly countries to significant age gaps in couples. In other words, it’s not uncommon for older men to date younger women. But, there’s always the question of “how young is too young,” when it comes to the ladies. Today, we’re addressing the scandalous topic of the age of consent in Ukraine!

What is Are Age of Consent Laws?

Age of consent is a term that is used to describe whenever a person is old enough to legally consent to sex. Whether it’s a Ukrainian girl or an American girl, there’s always a law governing just when she’s “ready.”

Ironically, even if someone is not an adult, they may be considered to be old enough to legally consent to have sex with someone who is. In some places, the age of consent is dangerously young. In a place like Nigeria, the age of consent is 11.

Yeah…ew. No wonder that country is a total trainwreck.

Fortunately, Ukraine has age of consent laws that are rather similar to those that you find in the West.

In Ukraine, you are considered to be legally an adult at the age of 18. This means that a young person can move out of their parent’s house, drive a car, and purchase alcohol in Ukraine.

Ironically, Ukrainian women can be married at the age of 17, whereas boys have to wait until 18. Even still most Ukrainian women are between the ages of 25-27 when they are finally married. Most men, on the other hand, are usually 30.

This just goes to show that even though the country has modernized, Ukraine still has a culture that does not shy away from older men dating younger women.

So, what does that mean for someone who is interested in dating Ukrainian women?

What is the minimum age that you must abide by?

Ukraine’s Age of Consent: 16

Here’s the answer to the burning question that you’ve been looking for.

The age of consent in Ukraine is 16 years old. This is the minimum age a girl must be in order for you to engage with her on a sexual level in any way. While you could technically “date” a girl who is under 16, nothing sexual could take place when you two are together.

And, let’s be real, that’s not going to happen.

All in all, it’s pretty lax. Though, I’d imagine that the parents of most 16-year-old Ukrainian girls wouldn’t be too happy if she was casually dating a foreigner. At the very least, you can bet that they’d want to meet you to see who their daughter is spending time with.

But, we’re going to officially recommend you only pursue girls who are 18 and above. Our advice is to not try to be cute and find “technicalities” with the local laws.

Respect the local culture, and the people of Ukraine during your time there. While you may stumble into a situation where you meet a lovely 17-year-old lady and win the blessings of her parents, I’d suggest looking for women who are at least 18.

Here’s why…

Our Advice: Date 18+

First of all, the chances of meeting a girl who is under the age of 18 are generally just slimmer than a girl who is legally an adult.

Think about it: unless you’re totally blind, you’ll have a pretty good idea of how old a girl is when you first approach her. It’s not rocket science to tell a 16-year-old apart from an 18-year-old, and so forth.

Plus, Young girls in Ukraine are required to go attend primary school. So, you won’t even be running into younger girls during the hours of 7 AM – 4 PM most days, either.

Going out at night? Most of the girls you’ll see in the club are going to be 18. While there’s realistically nothing stopping a younger girl from going out, her parents probably aren’t going to want her hanging out at the town’s bars at such a young age.

Remember: traditionalism is alive and well in most of Ukraine. It very well may be the only country I’ve ever lived in where a 23-year-old girl is receiving calls from her mother while on dates.

Plus, how can you really believe that a girl is actually 16, and not 15? If a girl is 18 years old, there should be absolutely no reason that she shouldn’t have a government-issued ID. While younger girls can certainly have student ID cards, it’s not as common as women who are enrolled in college courses.

You’ll probably just be “taking her word for it.” And, I’m not exactly too keen to trust the word of a 16-year-old.

The worst-case scenario here is that, despite the fact that a girl tells you she is 16, she may be younger.

And, breaking those rules is not something you want to do.

What If You Violate the Age of Consent in Ukraine?

It should go without saying. You absolutely do not want to violate any laws regarding having sex with minors in a place like Ukraine.

Duh. I should not even have to type that. Don’t mess around with this stuff.

You could end up with fines, jail time, or possibly even getting a little roughed up by the cops. But in reality, the biggest problem you’d probably face is from the girl’s family.

The police in Ukraine are ridiculously ineffective and, by and large, a basket case. They can’t be bothered to do much of anything beyond writing traffic tickets, most of the time.

On top of that, the “rape culture” hysteria just does not exist in Ukraine. For better or for worse, a young girl in Ukraine may have a hard time explaining to a police officer or a judge that she was forced into non-consensual sexual activity if she willingly went to a man’s home at night, presumably while consuming alcohol.

I am not saying that this is right by any means. But based on my own experiences in the country, this is generally what I’ve observed.

It’s for this reason that, unless a girl is truly open to the idea of having sex with you, she’s likely not going to agree to come to your house by herself.

Of course, while dating in any country, clear and obvious consent should be your #1 priority. Violating her consent is not as much punished by the law, but instead by her family and community.

Her Family: The Real Barrier To Dating Young Women

The legal protections that women may have in uncomfortable situations may be lagging in Ukraine. But, you can be sure that if you should try to force yourself on a young girl in Ukraine, you’ll likely be hearing from her father not long afterward.

Don’t be surprised if someone’s showing up at your door to have a “talk” with you, in this case.

This isn’t normal, whatsoever. But, neither is trying to force yourself on a young girl who does not consent to your advances. It’s totally abnormal and NOT okay. I’m simplifying showing you that people in Ukraine are more likely to take things into their own hands than call the cops.

And, I can guarantee that you’ll be receiving absolutely no sympathy from the police in this case, either.

As a side note: even if you’re dating a girl in her 20’s, you can expect to have to meet her parents at one point or another. While you may shy away from this in the West, know that this is standard procedure for dating a Ukrainian girl.

The answer here is simple: do the right thing. Date girls who are enthusiastic about meeting you, and willing to let you escalate things on a physical level. Meet her parents if you have to. Take things slowly, and make an effort to learn about how to meet girls in Ukraine.

In fact, if you really want a younger, more inexperienced girl, you shouldn’t have a problem finding one that is at least 18 years old.

Even still, you should ask yourself if you really want to date a girl who is 18.

Do You Really Want To Date a Teenager?

Now, I don’t know about any of you, but spending time with a girl who is even just 18 years old can be a little bit…annoying.

While Ukrainian girls are far more mature than their American counterparts, you can still expect teenagers to be interested in teenage topics.

Listening to a girl talk about her favorite singers or how she likes watching the Vampire Diaries isn’t exactly my favorite past time. As someone who has dated 18-year-old Ukrainian girls, I can almost always say that I certainly enjoyed their company more as they got older.

But, there’s a huge benefit to cash in on by getting a girl when she’s younger. The other side of this is that if you meet a girl who has just turned 18, you can influence and shape her into the type of woman you prefer.

You can pretty much guarantee she’s going to be inexperienced in the bedroom, probably only moderately skilled in the kitchen (if at all), and still has a few years of discovering her own unique sense of fashion.

If you can intercept her at such a young age, you can train her to do exactly what you like. Plus, you can be sure you’re the only one who’s experienced her sexually.

And who dosen’t love that?

Virgin Girls in Ukraine

If you’re searching for a girl who’s a virgin, you are likely going to be looking for a younger lady. It’s basic math, after all!

Unlike in a country like Georgia, there is generally no expectation that women are to remain virgins until marriage in Ukraine. They are, however, expected to remain relatively chaste and not engage in the degeneracy of girls in Western countries.

It’s not uncommon for a young girl to have had a boyfriend or two prior to meeting you if she’s in her 20’s. While I personally prefer girls who have had few sexual partners as possible, I don’t mind if a girl has a small amount of experience prior to me dating her.

But, only a little bit. Nobody likes dating the town slut.

If you’re jet set on finding a virgin, I’d suggest checking out second-tier cities such as Kharkiv and Lviv as opposed to the more metropolitan minded Kiev. In fact, I’ve met girls up to the age of 20 who claim to be virgins in these places.

In my opinion, this is not a bad dating strategy whatsoever. While some girls in Ukraine will retain their virginity into their mid 20’s, you’re going to have your most luck hovering around the 18-year-old mark.

Best of all, you can even meet these women online.

How To Meet Younger Women in Ukraine

The safest way of dating younger women in Ukraine is, believe it or not, by using the internet.

Online dating is absolutely huge in Eastern Europe, and you can meet some seriously beautiful girls if you use the right apps.

I know this seems silly, but hear me out. Online dating sites like Ukraine Date have to verify the age and identity of every girl who uses the service. Instead of having to go through an awkward conversation where you ask to see her ID, you have total peace of mind from the time you send your first message.

If you’re interested in learning more about it, check out our review of the service here.

Plus, you can even filter your results on the site so that you can only see girls between the ages of say, 18-23 all over the whole country.

That’s a level of specialization that you won’t even get when meeting them in person.

Conclusion: Respect the Age of Consent in Ukraine!

While the letter of the law may state that girls as young as 16 are “up for grabs,” we’d recommend sticking to girls who are 18 and above.

Even still, it’s your life. You are free to make your own choices knowing the risks involved. As long as you are engaging in consensual, respectful relationships, you can technically do as you please.

If we can make any suggestions here, however, it would be to at least have a look at the girls whose age you can fully verify on a website like Ukraine Date.

That way, you know you’re being totally safe on your journey dating beautiful girls abroad. Just don’t forget to keep Ukraine’s age of consent in mind!

Good luck out there!

A Foreigner’s Guide To Ukraine Winter

A Foreigner’s Guide To Ukraine Winter

It’s September here in Ukraine, and you know what that means. Winter is right around the corner. One of the most common stereotypes about Ukraine, other than having beautiful girls, is that winter is never-ending and bitter cold. Unfortunately, this isn’t far from the truth at all.

Today, we’re going to discuss the Ukraine winter, and how to survive it.

It’s Cold…Like, Really Cold

There’s no getting around the fact that Ukraine has one of the harshest, coldest climates in Europe come wintertime.

Snow covers Kyiv approximately 80 days of the year, down from 100 due to our friend global warming.

During wintertime, temperatures average at 0 °C or 32 °F. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning. In fact, temperatures will often touch down to -30 °C or -22 °F as winter really begins to settle in.

But, let’s keep in mind that the severity of the winter is largely going to be determined by where you live in Ukraine. The country is absolutely massive, nearly the same size as the state of Texas.

For example, the weather in Odessa will be much more temperate than anywhere else, as it is on the very southern tip of the country. Eastern Ukraine, such as the city of Kharkiv, is going to have the coldest winters as it is over 1200 miles further away from the Atlantic Ocean.

In a city like Lviv, you’ll find February to the coldest month, you’ll be dealing with the aforementioned -30 °C or -22 °F. Throughout winter in Kyiv, you’ll find that temperatures are between -5 °C and -10 °C during the day, and -15 °C at night.

Even though there are regional differences, it’s still extremely cold compared to much of the rest of the world.

The Russian Winter Conquers All

There is a phrase known as the “Russian Winter” that history buffs are all too well aware of. This essentially refers to a series of failed military invasions of Russia from the 1700s until World War II.

The cold weather had the ability to stop the armies of Hitler and Napoleon, cause equipment to malfunction, and destroy troop morale before any fighting could actually take place.

Unfortunately, Ukraine literally translates to “the borderland” or “the frontier region” in a variety of languages. In all fairness, it resides at the Southern border of Russia. While the Russian winter may have been able to halt invading armies from ever reaching major cities in Russia, Ukraine still had the misfortunate of being invaded and conquered countless time throughout history.

Sadly for them, the Russian winter never quite worked out in their favor.

But, you get the point. The two regions are directly next to one another, and you can bet that the same winter that stopped Hitler dead in his tracks is waiting for you in Kyiv as soon as fall ends.

But, honestly…it’s not really that bad.

Honestly, It’s Not That Bad

Now, I know that I just said that the winter in Ukraine literally had the ability to defeat armies and change history.

But, hear me out when I say it’s also not that bad.

There are plenty of things to complain about in Ukraine, and winter is definitely one of them. There’s a dark, looming grey that seems to hang over the country from November until February. The short skirts go away, and the parkas come out. It becomes a very different country as soon as old man winter rolls around.

People often write in asking when the best time is to visit Ukraine. Obviously, the country is much more lively in the springtime and autumn, but a little cold weather should certainly not deter you from visiting.

How To Survive Ukraine Winter

Preparedness here is key. With these two tips, winter will be far more pleasant.

Boots and Jacket

I know it may sound basic, but one of the best investments you can make going to Ukraine is a solid pair of boots and a jacket. Due to markup on common retail items, picking these up prior to your arrival is well worth it.

It’s amazing how many people complain about how much they hate winter, meanwhile, they’re wearing a $40 jacket from Primark and tennis shoes in 18 centimeters of snow.

I’ve been wearing this jacket from The North Face for the last three years in Ukraine, and it has been one of my best investments to date.

If you’re feeling extra fancy, you can even invest in an ORORO jacket that has a small heating pad inside of it. Believe it or not, this thing is pretty sleek looking in real life, and it’s not obvious that there’s small heater built-in.

Even if you’re not the type of person who wears boots, 18 centimeters of snow on the ground come December will have you thinking differently! I really quite like the classic leather Doc Martens to get through the Ukrainian winter. You can even wear them in springtime as a fashion statement.

Some Ukrainians, on the other hand, simply pack up and head to a warmer country like Georgia until the season changes.

Grocery Delivery

One thing that is admittedly unpleasant about living through the Ukrainian winter is having to go grocery shopping in the snow.

Most people in Ukraine don’t own cars, as the cities are very walkable and public transportation really quite good. Even still, in a country where you shouldn’t drink the tap water, trudging through the snow to buy groceries isn’t something I look forward to.

Fortunately for you, Ukraine’s largest grocery store lets you order groceries straight to your home. I discussed how to do this in the above-linked post on Ukrainian tap water, and I will tell you that it is a true luxury.

It’s as easy as making an order online through the website, translating the page with Google Chrome, and waiting for your order to show up.

Pro-tip: Google Chrome has the best built-in translator for looking at foreign websites.

You can pay in either cash or card. It’s ridiculously convenient.

But, there’s no convenience that can replace the warmth of a nice Ukrainian girl to help you get through the colder months.

The Ladies Make It Better

As someone who has personally been through five Ukrainian winters, I no longer fear the coming of the snow. In fact, I look forward to watching the city transform each year.

It’s a strange thing really, but there’s nothing quite like sipping a warm cappucino as you watch the snowfall outside while you work on your laptop. Better yet, there are few things I enjoy more than coming home to a hot pot of borscht cooked by a lovely Ukrainian girl during wintertime.

Trust me when I say that things like these that make even the coldest winters totally bearable.

If you’re afraid of winter, I’d have to say that having a Ukrainian lady makes it entirely worth it but also can make it quite a pleasant experience.

Conclusion: Give Ukraine Winter A Shot

If you are well prepared for it, winter in Ukraine is nothing you can’t handle, and it should certainly not deter you from visiting.

Better yet, having a nice Ukrainian girl to spend the winter months with can make winter quite a lovely experience.
