Lviv is not exactly the first place that most people plan to visit when they go to Ukraine. With Kiev as the country’s capital and Odessa being a beachfront paradise, Lviv is often forgotten about…even though Lviv is home to some of the best girls in Ukraine. Mentality of Lviv Girls

There’s no denying that girls in Lviv are just a little bit different than the rest of Ukraine, and that can be a good thing.

Ukrainian girls are notorious for being somewhat cold and slightly standoffish at the beginning of an interaction. When you first meet a Ukrainian girl, you may end up standing there, asking her basic “getting to know you questions,” and being met with simple, one word responses.  

Most guys get tripped up at this phase, because they think this means she is uninterested.

In most of the Western world, this is a clear indicator that it is time to move on.

In Ukraine, however, this is normal. If a girl is still listening to you, it’s because she wants you to keep talking.

Luckily for you, in Lviv, girls are much warmer from the start.

Lviv is often compared to being more similar to Poland than rest of Ukraine. Girls in Lviv are often times immediately more receptive to talking, responding…and just acting a bit more you would expect a “normal” girl to act.

This does NOT mean they are “easier,” but it does mean that on average, Lviv girls are probably a little more likely to be receptive, talkative, and engaged than the typical Ukrainian girl.

There’s a common perception that girls from Lviv are highly conservative, and often reluctant to “hook up.” Speaking from experience, I can tell you that like most of the world, there are plenty of opportunities for both casual flings and serious relationships alike.

Lviv has an extensive student population, with over 20,000 students studying in the town each year. While there are plenty of traditional girls attending church on Sunday morning with their families in Lviv, there are also loads of college girls out drinking every Saturday night.

To put it simply: your options are plentiful in Lviv.

While also somewhat different in mentality, girls in Lviv tend to have a bit more of a “bohemian” sense of style than girls in other parts of Ukraine.

If I had to describe Lviv in one way, it would be “hipster chic.”

One of the main things to keep in mind is that girls do not wear high heels nearly as often in Lviv as they do in the rest of the country, as the streets are mostly made of cobblestone.

I know, this is heartbreaking, but a girl can break her ankle very easily if her heel gets stuck in between the cracks in the street.

But hey, whatever. While they may dress slightly differently, girls in Lviv are just as thin, feminine and beautiful as the rest of the country.

Where To Stay in Lviv

Between Kiev, Odessa and Lviv, Lviv is definitely the cheapest city out of the three.

If you plan to go to Lviv, here’s a few quick date ideas to get you started on the ground.

1. High Castle, the site of a former castle in Lviv. While little remains of the structure, it offers a panoramic overview of the city. Be ready to walk!
2. City Hall, situated in Rynok Square, you can climb to the top of city hall through an old, rickety staircase for another amazing view of the city. While it sounds tedious, it’s really a lot of fun.
3. Stryisky Park, girls in Ukraine love walking. If you’re looking for a nice little place to stroll around outside of the city center, go here.
4. Svit Kavy, the best coffeeshop in Lviv. Perfect for a quick “getting to know you” type of date.
5. Wine Room, a perfect stop off for a drink. While it is literally just a small room, the atmosphere is perfect for a date.

How To Meet Girls in Lviv

Approaching girls in person is always a good idea. It helps to build character and shows that you’re confident enough to start a conversation. As a foreigner in Ukraine, you have the ability to walk up to any pretty girl that you see and ask “Do you speak English?” as a perfect opener.

If she replies with a “Yes,” you can proceed to ask where a particular street, hotel, or monument is. This is perhaps the easiest conversation hack that you can use anywhere, at any time to meet a new girl.
